Congratulations U19 Elite's in winning GOLD at the Ontario Summer Games. BK's dominate at Summer Games! Starting with wins over Kawartha (17 - 9), Kitchener-Waterloo (16 - 6), and Orangeville (15 - 8) in round robin play. The BK's finished the round robin in first earning a semi-final against fourth place Kitchener-Waterloo. After defeating Kitchener, 15 - 3, BK's played Orangeville in the final. With a very strong first half, hilighted by numerous draw controls, quick ball movement, tremendous defensive play and a number of keys saves by Katie Holden, the team had built an 11 - 2 lead at the half. There was no let up in the second half, going on to seal the win 17 - 6. A talented display of lacrosse put on by a talented group of players! Great way to finish the season! And a nice finish for the graduating players in their final U19 game - Rachel MacKinnon, Erin Abbott, Katie Holden, Beckie Hilker and Julie Cryderman!
