U13 Elite – 2017 Provincial Champions

The U13 Elite team captures gold in exciting fashion!   After going through the round robin with 3 wins and a loss, the team finished in 2nd place securing a place in the Gold Medal game versus Orangeville who finished first based on their undefeated round robin play.   The team’s only loss was at the hands of Orangeville 8 – 4.   The team came prepared for the final, and what a final it was.   A very highly skilled and strategic game played by both teams with the scored tied 3 – 3 at the end of regulation, and then each team scoring in overtime making it 4 – 4.   And then with 8 seconds left in OT, GOAL -  2017 Provincial Champions!   Congratulations to coaches Sue Shoemaker and Quinton Maechtel, and the entire U13 Elite team.  What a finish!
