Six Time Champs!

Congratulations to our U19A team capping off an undefeated season with a 12 - 7 win over Orangeville in the Gold Medal game.  The team was on top of their game all weekend in securing their 6th straight Provincial Championship.  Wins over Six Nations and Orangeville in Pool Play, set up a Brampton vs Oshawa semi-final.  Then it was on to the final against Orangeville, who upset Kawartha in their semi-final. 

Way to go girls!

LBK SUPPORTS EVERY CHILD MATTERS

Last year after the horrific recoveries at Residential Schools, OWFL connected with Six Nations Girls Field Lacrosse to work towards reconciliation through education. LBK stepped up as a club that donated the most to the OWFL initiative. 

This year, we took it a step further, and turned our host weekend orange. Roy's Enterprise designed a special shirt for our host weekend. LBK also sold wristbands and stickers the weekend of June 17-19 in Oshawa.

LBK Receives Canadian Tire Jump Start Relief Grant

We are pleased to announce that Lady Blue Knights have selected by Canadian Tire Jump Start to receive a grant from their Sport Relief Fund. The fund helps community sport organizations like ours continue to provide access to sport and play for Canadian kids.

This grant will go a long way towards helping us during this challenging time, continue to offer an environment to inspire, develop confidence and empower young girls through the sport of lacrosse while providing opportunities for them to play and develop a passion for game.

CONGRATS to the following U19 Comp 1 players on making their respective OUA teams:

  • Caitlyn Brain - Ontario Tech University
  • Hannah Bragg - Ontario Tech University
  • Lauren Tracogna - Western University
  • Emily McKinley - McMaster University
  • Jocelyn Whent - Trent University
  • Carlee Walsh - Western University
  • Brianna MacCheyne - Queen’s University

 

Also making their respective OUA teams are U19 Elite girls:

  • Nicole Martindale (Ontario Tech University)
  • Avery Digorgio (Trent)
  • Sophie Hofmann (Western)

Congratulations U19A Team

Our 19A's captured the B-Division Championship at the Nike Cup Tournament at Syracuse University.  In doing so all players won championship tournament Nike Cup rings.  Katie Guy, Taylor Landry, and Karli MacKendrick were named to play in the All-Star Game, where they all contributed on the scoresheet.  Taylor Landry scored 2, Katie Guy 1, and Karli Mackendrick with one assist.  Katie, Taylor and Karli were also named to the all tournament team.  Congratulations to our U19A's on a great tournament.
